Old Colony Club Special Events
There are a number of recurring club traditions, events that come around every year. The biggest of these, in chronological order starting with the Annual Meeting on the evening of Forefathers Day:
The Annual Meeting: The annual business meeting marks the end of the old year and the start of the new year.
Twelfthnight Gala: The new president's inaugural ball and the club's annual formal event for members, wives, and guests.
Pops Night: A social evening of music, a night to step out in style with wives and girlfriends.
Clark's Island Trip: The annual seafaring adventure to the distant shores of Clark's ISland in Plymouth Harbor, one of the club's most hallowed traditions.
July 4th Parade: The club is a great place to bring the kids (or grandkids) and watch the parade. Come early before Court Street gets blocked off!
The Clambake: One of our biggest events of the year, an August clambake on the shore with all the traditional fare. Wives and guests are welcome.
Past Presidents Night: Every fall the president hosts a Past Presidents Night to honor all the club's past presidents, whose ranks he will soon join. Wives and girlfriends are welcome.
Thanksgiving Parade: The club is a great place to bring the kids (or grandkids) and watch the parade. Come early before Court Street gets blocked off!
Forefathers Day: The Club's New Year celebration, with top hats, artillery, and a breakfast that can't be beat! We start before sunrise after the longest night of the year.
